Depuis quelques années, la forêt de Chantilly doit faire face aux conséquences du dérèglement climatique : insectes ravageurs, maladies, perte de biodiversité... L'Institut de France, qui gère la forêt depuis son leg par le duc d'Aumale en 1886, tente d'adapter la forêt à cette nouvelle réalité en y associant riverains, chasseurs, promeneurs et professionnels de l'agroforesterie.
WORK IN PROGRESS - Save the Chantilly forest
Due to global warming, the Chantilly forest is being endangered by several threats : insects, diseases... The centuries-old oakes are dying beause of the global warming. The France Institute, who owns the forest and the castle since its bequest in 1886 by the duc d'Aumale, tries to save the forest, and, by doing so, implicates the population, hunters, horse breeders and citizens in the process.
