Saint-Etienne is an underprivileged city located near Lyon, in the region of Rhône-Alpes, in central France. It used to be an important coal mining city, but has lost 25 000 inhabitants since 1975. The Etablissement public d'aménagement de Saint-Etienne, a state funded agency in charge of the urban renewal in Saint-Etienne, has inaugurated the building "One Station" on Thursday, the 23th of September 2021. This building symobolizes the renewal of the Châteaucreux neigbhorhood, close to the train station. The agency is also in charge of the rehabilitation of the old weapon manufacture, that has been well known in the past for having designed and built the famous french army assault rifle, the FAMAS.
