Le service virologie de l'hôpital se compose d'Abla Petitjean (laborantine), d'Elodie Collin (chef du service virologie), de Francoise Roz (laborantine) et de Marlene Despres (laborantine). Ces femmes analysent chaque jour plus de 250 tests PCR pour détecter les cas positifs du covid-19 en augmentation connstante depuis septembre 2020. Pour cela, elles utilisent des robots et des machines mais l'essentiel des manipulations, environ une dizaine par test, se font encore à la main. Il faut donc 5h en moyenne pour connaître le résultat d'un test, résultat qu'elles communiqueront elles-mêmes par téléphone au patient.

The hospital's virology service is run by Abla Petitjean (laboratory assistant), Elodie Collin (head of the virology service), Francoise Roz (laboratory assistant) and Marlene Despres (laboratory assistant). These women analyze more than 250 PCR tests every day to detect positive cases of covid-19 which have been increasing steadily since September 2020. For this, they use robots and machines but most of the manipulations, about ten per test, are still done by hand. It therefore takes 5 hours on average to know the result of a test, a result that they themselves communicate by telephone to the patient.
