Depuis le lancement du referendum d'initiative populaire demandant d'ameliorer le sort des animaux, la percee des ecologistesle aux elections municipales et les annonces de l aminsitre Barbara Pompili, le bien-etre animal s'est invite aux prochaines elections presidentielles de 2022. Chaque partie essaie d'en tirer partie et fait de la surenchere en voulant interdire la chasse, la venerie sous-terre, les chasses traditionnelles. A quand donc un code du droit des animaux qui leurs donnera les memes droits que les hommes ?
