Résultats des élections présidentielles 2025 en Irlande
Catherine Connolly, candidate indépendante et soutenue par les parties de gauche, a été élue présidente de la République d'Irlande. Elle succèdera à Michael D Higgins, élu deux fois président (2011 et 2018). Elle s'impose face à son unique adversaire, Heather Humphrey (Fine Gael, droite).
Micheal Martin, Taoiseach (Premier Ministre) Fianna Fail (droite), Simon Harris, Tánaiste (vice Premier Ministre), Fine Gael (droite) et Heather Humphry étaient présents à l'annonce des résultats.
Si les votes se sont tenus le vendredi 24 octobre, les résultats des élections présidentielles irlandaises ont été annoncées ce samedi 25 octobre 2025.
Jim Gavin, originellement candidat du Fianna Fáil, s'était est retiré de la course le 5 octobre dernier suite aux révélations sur une dette envers un ancien locataire. Son retrait arrivant trop tardivement, et son nom étant donc déjà imprimé sur les bulletins de vote, il a reçu des voix. Elles sont comptées comme nulles.
2025 Irish Presidential elections results
Catherine Connolly, an independent candidate supported by left-wing parties, has been elected President of the Republic of Ireland. She will succeed Michael D Higgins, who was elected president twice (in 2011 and 2018). She won against her only opponent, Heather Humphrey (Fine Gael).
Micheal Martin, Taoiseach (Prime Minister) Fianna Fail (right-wing) Simon Harris, Tánaiste (vice Prime Minister), Fine Gael (right-wing) and Heather Humphry were present at the announcement of the results.
While voting took place on Friday, October 24, the results of the Irish presidential election were announced on Saturday, October 25, 2025.
Jim Gavin, originally a candidate for Fianna Fáil, withdrew from the race on October 5 following revelations about a debt he owed to a former tenant. His withdrawal came too late to have his name erased from the ballot papers, therefore, he received votes. These votes are counted as invalid.
