Depuis 1995, Geoffrey Méallet exerce son art à Chidrac, dans le Puy de Dôme. Dans son atelier, il redonne vie aux animaux en utilisant sa technique. Pour être taxidermiste, il faut avoir de multiples compétences. A la fois sculpteur, reproduisant l?animal en mousse polyuréthane, tanneur, couturier et même zoologue, chaque création est une pièce unique à laquelle Geoffrey Méallet apporte un grand soin. Son travail méticuleux offre une seconde chance aux créatures jadis vivantes, dans un hommage discret mais profond à la nature, qu?il chérit, et à son héritage artisanal.

Geoffrey Meallet has been practicing his art in Chidrac, Puy de Dôme, since 1995. In his workshop, he brings animals back to life using his own technique. To be a taxidermist, you need multiple skills. At once a sculptor, reproducing the animal in polyurethane foam, a tanner, a dressmaker and even a zoologist, each creation is a unique piece to which Geoffrey Méallet takes great care. His meticulous work offers a second chance to once-living creatures, in a discreet but profound tribute to nature, which he cherishes, and to his craft heritage.
