The Sainte-Victoire mountain
A symbol of Provence, like the Mont Ventoux and the Sainte-Baume, a sign of the Pays d'Aix, and the muse of Cézanne, the Sainte-Victoire mountain rises to 1011 m.
A site for walking, it can be explored by all its paths punctuated by restanques. The religious heritage offers several stages to your hikes: the Sainte-Victoire priory, built in the 17th century, the Ermitage Saint-Ser, a marvellous Provençal landscape around a small chapel built in the extension of a cave to perpetuate the memory of a hermit of the 5th century who came to seek refuge in these places, the Croix de Provence, perched on the western point of the massif. At the highest point, the Pic des Mouches, an extraordinary panorama embraces the horizons of Provence and the undulating plains of the Pays d'Aix. On a clear day, you can see the sea, Mont Ventoux and the Alps.
