Les lévriers irlandais ou IRISH WOLFHOUNDS sont mentionnés dans l'histoire gaélique, depuis trois mille ans, et constituent l'une des plus grandes et plus anciennes races de chiens connues de l'humanité utilisés autrefois pour chasser les loups. Certains disent qu'ils peuvent lire dans l'âme d'un homme. Ils pénètrent dans le cœur d'un traître et savent instinctivement si une personne veut du mal à son maître. Ce dont je suis sûr, c'est que l'Irish Wolfhound est une race douce et loyale qui protégera son maître jusqu'à la mort, d'où l'adage Doux quand on le caresse, féroce quand on le provoque. SPIR AND MAIRTIN IRISH WOLFHOUNDS IN IRELA
Irish Wolfhounds have been mentioned in Gaelic history for three thousand years and are one of the largest and oldest breeds of dog known to mankind, formerly used for hunting wolves. Some say they can read a man's soul. They can see into the heart of a traitor and instinctively know if a person means harm to their master. What I am sure of is that the Irish Wolfhound is a gentle and loyal breed that will protect its master to the death, hence the saying: gentle when stroked, fierce when provoked.
