The Church of Saint-Nicolas in Barfleur, in the Manche department, is one of Normandy’s most iconic landmarks. Built between 1630 and 1844 on a rocky promontory at the entrance to the port of Barfleur, it is surrounded by its seaside cemetery facing the Gateville Lighthouse and seems to protect sailors and watch over the English Channel. It is distinguished by its axial chapel, the Circata, and its exceptional furnishings.
