Ada face à la violence d'État
Lorsqu’elle arrive à Lyon au printemps 2025, Ada fuit les violences. Elle croit trouver en France un refuge pour elle et ses deux jeunes enfants ; elle se heurte à l’impasse. Leur situation ne rentre pas dans les cases. Privée de droits, sans possibilité d'accès à un logement, la famille se retrouve à la rue. Pendant des mois, elle dort dans une école de la Croix-Rousse…
Ce travail photographique retrace leur quotidien sous contrainte où chaque jour est une lutte pour survivre : chercher de quoi manger, se soigner quand on tombe malade, passer de lieu en lieu, vaincre le désespoir de ne pouvoir se projeter dans aucun lendemain. A travers l’histoire singulière d’Ada et la mise en perspective d’une violence d’État systémique, elle offre une plongée intime et politique dans les conditions d’accueil des personnes exilées en France.
Ada confronts state violence
When she arrives in Lyon in the spring of 2025, Ada is fleeing violence. She believes she will find refuge in France for herself and her two young children, but she finds herself at an impasse. Their situation does not fit into any category. Deprived of rights and unable to access housing, the family ends up on the streets. For months, they sleep in a school in the Croix-Rousse neighbourhood...
This photographic work retraces their daily life under duress, where every day is a struggle to survive: finding food, getting medical care when they fall ill, moving from place to place, overcoming the despair of not being able to plan for tomorrow. Through Ada's unique story and the perspective of systemic state violence, it offers an intimate and political insight into the conditions in which exiles are received in France.
