Laisser couler
Let it sink
This is the story of my generation, a story of lost naivety, a story of destruction. Innocence in front of the impact of the man on his environment is not any more. And it is not a question of opposing "to live with its time" of "to live withdrawn from the world" because the man is a social being, he lives with his time. The paradox is that we know our impact and we suffer from it.
I am part of this generation sacrificed on the altar of the "always more" rule ; a generation conscious of denying the one who nourishes and protects it: mother nature. We are intrinsically linked to her even if some continue to believe in the illusion of their freedom and by maintaining the denial that exists in the link Man-Nature.
This series is the first of a trilogy entitled Falling - Bouncing. It was realized following a process that combines protocol and intuition. First, the frantic search for second-hand toys, until I filled many boxes with them, then, the search for virgin spaces symbolizing the calm power of nature: the lakes.
At dusk, I would wander around a lake, the trunk full of toys, to find the right place and feel which toy would sink in before putting it on stage.
