La saison 2012 – 2013, 852cm de neige au totale répartie sur 65jours face à la saison 2024 à Avril 2025, 219cm de neige au totale répartie sur 16jours de neige. La station de ski de La Clusaz, confrontée à des hivers plus courts, voit ses saisonniers s’interroger sur leur avenir dans un métier dépendant d’une neige de plus en plus instable.
Située entre 1 040 et 2 480 mètres d’altitude, la station de La Clusaz est touchée par le réchauffement climatique. Alors qu’en 2024 la saison hivernale s’étendait jusqu’à fin avril, en 2025, les dernières neiges sont tombées le 26 mars. Les saisonniers voient leur activité se réduire et commencent à envisager une transition professionnelle.

In the 2012–2013 season, La Clusaz recorded a total of 852 cm of snowfall over 65 days. In contrast, from 2024 to April 2025, the resort saw only 219 cm of snow spread across just 16 days. Facing increasingly shorter winters, the ski resort of La Clusaz sees its seasonal workers questioning their future in a profession that relies on increasingly unpredictable snowfall.
Located between 1,040 and 2,480 meters in altitude, the La Clusaz resort is feeling the effects of climate change. While in 2024 the winter season lasted until the end of April, in 2025, the last snowfall came on March 26. Seasonal workers are seeing their work opportunities shrink and are beginning to consider a career transition.
