Le Grand Palais ephemère accueille l'exposition de Anselm Kiefer "Pour Paul Celan". Sous sa voute a été créé un espace unique gigantesque. La combinaison entre l'immensité du lieu et les oeuvres monumentales d'Anselm Kiefer rend cette expérience unique. On se plait à s'approcher au plus près des toiles pour tenter de décrypter les messages du plasticien et du poète ou bien on s'éloigne de quelques mètres pour essayer de comprendre l'ensemble.
Paul Celan, poète Roumain, naturalisé français en 1955 a connu les camps et perdit ses parents dans la Shoah.
Anselm Kiefer dit de la poésie de Paul Celan : "Nous nous y accrochons sans jamais pouvoir cerner l'ensemble. J'ai humblement essayé pendant soixante ans. Désormais, j'écris cette langue sur des toiles".

The Grand Palais Ephemère hosts Anselm Kiefer's exhibition 'Pour Paul Celan'. Under its vaulted ceiling, a unique, gigantic space has been created. The combination of the immensity of the space and Anselm Kiefer's monumental works makes this a unique experience. You can get up close to the paintings to try to decipher the messages of the artist and the poet, or you can walk a few metres away to try to understand the whole.
Paul Celan, a Romanian poet who became a naturalised French citizen in 1955, was a victim of the camps and lost his parents in the Holocaust.
Anselm Kiefer says of Paul Celan's poetry: 'We cling to it without ever being able to grasp the whole. I have humbly tried for sixty years. Now I write this language on canvas.
