Polyvios ANEMOYANNIS est né en Grèce. Après obtention de son diplôme à l'Université de Columbia-Missouri en 1984, il s'installe à Boston, puis à New Haven sur la côte nord-est des Etats-Unis, et travaille dans la presse quotidienne. Il voyage en Amérique du nord, au Mexique, aux Caraïbes, au Sénégal, en Europe.

En 1989, Il s'installe à Paris et la même année, il produit son premier photoreportage à Prague, en ex-Tchécoslovaquie, pendant la Révolution de Velour. Il commence à documenter la gentrification, les mutations urbaines et sociales de l'est parisien. Il rejoint Hans Lucas comme photographe indépendant en 2019 et couvre depuis l'actualité sociale et politique en France et à l'étranger. Ses photos sont publiées dans Ouest France, Libération, Le Parisien, Marianne, L'Obs, Le Point, Kathimerini (Grèce) et dans des sites d'information en ligne comme Mediapart. Actuellement, il est le photographe mandaté par l'Etablissement Public Territorial de Grand-Orly Seine, Bièvre pour la production d'un documentaire photo et vidéo sur le renouvellement urbain du quartier des Navigateurs, à Choisy-le-Roi. Il parle français, anglais, grec et espagnol.

Polyvios ANEMOYANNIS is born in Greece. After obtaining a Bachelor degree from the University of Columbia-Missouri, USA, in 1984, he settles in Boston, then in New Haven on the East Coast and works for various daily newspapers. He travels in the US, to Mexico, the Caribbean, to Senegal and in Europe.

In 1989, he settles in Paris and the same year, he produces his first photo documentary in Prague, in ex-Czechoslovakia, during the Velvet Revolution. He starts documenting gentrification, urban and social changes in Eastern Paris. He joins Hans Lucas photo agency as an independent photographer in 2019 and since, he covers politics and social issues in France and abroad. His photographs are published in dailies and magazines like Ouest France, Libération, Le Parisien, Marianne, L'Obs, Le Point (France), Kathimerini (Greece) and in information sites on line such as Mediapart (France). Presently, he is the photographer of Territorial Public Establishment of Grand-Orly Seine, Bièvre (Paris region), in charge of a photo and video documentary on the renovation of Navigateurs sector, in the city of Choisy-le-Roi. He is fluent in English, French, Spanish and Greek.
