CHARLOTTE RETURNS TO AIME GIRAL
Since October 2020, rugby fans have been denied entry to the stadium due to health restrictions caused by the coronavirus crisis.
In Perpignan, the Pro D2 semi-final between USAP and Oyonnax on Sunday 30 May is a good opportunity to get season ticket holders back to the stadium. This is how a hundred supporters came to applaud the players during training on the eve of the match. A little less than five hundred of them were drawn to attend the match, due to the health protocol. The programme included paella, conviviality and an atmosphere punctuated by songs.
From 2009 onwards, the year of the coronation against Clermont-Ferrand. The USAP does not play a match without a certain Charlotte, an unavoidable fan and volunteer of the club, being in the stands. The ex-Lilloise began her love affair with the club sang et or under the impetus of her elder brother. At the beginning, she was not very interested in the game, but she discovered the atmosphere, the clamour and the different emotions that ran through her when her grandson held the note of the whole stand with his drum.
Since then she has seen several generations of Catalan champions pass by, with whom she remains in contact. But now 2020 is approaching with its share of worries caused by the multiple lockdowns and the fear of catching the virus. In this context, Charlotte takes refuge in her sewing machine and continues to watch the matches on TV with Lionel, her husband. In spite of a fearful look at the future, she doesn't shy away from coming back to the stadium and preparing this semi-final in her own way: cheerful, delirious, affectionate!
