« No Crack in Paris » protest in front of the town hall of the 12th District in Paris
Four months after hundreds of Crack users were moved from the Eole park, Paris 19th, to the parc of the Porte de la Villette, and the construction of a wall blocking the tunnel linking Paris and Pantin, on the instructions of the Minister of the Interior, by the Prefecture of Police of Paris, few days after the intervention of the police to dismantle the "camp" of drug addicts near the Auguste Baron square, the drug-addicted population had to be moved again to a land made available by the SNCF, near the Porte de Charenton, Paris 12th, far from dwellings. Decision strongly contested by the Mayor of Paris, which led to the cancellation of this new « trip ». Neighborhood associations, shop keepers, residents, gather to protest against the inextricable problem of Crack consumers, displaced by political battles between the government and the Mayor of Paris, around this demand: "Treat them! Protect us! ".
