Algues Vertes à Larmor Plages (56)
Depuis quelques années, les environs de Lorient (Morbihan) ne sont pas épargnés par la prolifération d'algues vertes. Par période, ce sont des échouages plus ou moins importants qui tapissent de ces algues toxiques les rivages à Larmor-Plages en face de Lorient. Ce sont les élévages intensifs pratiqués en Bretagne qui seraient à l'origine de cette pollution. Les communes ont l'obligation préfectorale de nettoyer régulièrement ces dépots d'algues vertes.

For several years, the surroundings of Lorient (Morbihan) have not been spared by the proliferation of green algae. From time to time, more or less important strandings line the shores of Larmor-Plages opposite Lorient with these toxic algae. It is the intensive farming practiced in Brittany that is the source of this pollution. The municipalities have the prefectural obligation to regularly clean these deposits of green algae.
