Au milieu de la Loire, le village de Béhuard vit confiné
Le village de Béhuard, classé au patrimoine mondial de l'Unesco, est d'ordinaire l'un des points touristiques importants de l'Anjou. Environ 200 000 visiteurs se rendent chaque année dans le village, qui est aussi un lieu de pèlerinage annuel. En hiver, ses 125 habitants font face aux crues régulières de la Loire, s'y préparent et s'entraident. Par anticipation, chaque habitant du village possède ainsi sa propre embarcation.
Comme le reste du pays, l'île est aujourd'hui confinée, ses rues désertes et ses commerces, restaurants ou sa guingette fermés.
In the middle of the Loire river, the village of Behuard lives confined
The village of Béhuard, classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is usually one of the most important tourist spots in Anjou. About 200,000 visitors visit the village every year, which is also an important place of pilgrimage. In winter, its 125 inhabitants face the regular flooding of the Loire, prepare for it and help each other. In anticipation of this, each inhabitant of the village has his or her own boat.
Like the rest of the country, the island is nowadays confined, its streets deserted and its shops, restaurants or guingette closed.
