La centrale nucléaire du Tricastin
Située sur la commune de Saint Paul Trois Châteaux, dans la Drôme, la centrale nucléaire du Tricastin est une des plus anciennes centrales nucléaires en activité. Son refroidissement est assuré par l'eau du Canal de Donzère-Mondragon. Début août 2022, EDF annonce la diminution probable de sa production, voire l'arrêt d'un réacteur, en raison de la canicule et de la température trop élevée des eaux du Rhône.
The Tricastin nuclear power plant
Located in the commune of Saint Paul Trois Châteaux, in the Drôme, the Tricastin nuclear power plant is one of the oldest nuclear power plants in operation. It is cooled by water from the Donzère-Mondragon Canal. At the beginning of August 2022, EDF announced the probable reduction of its production, or even the shutdown of a reactor, due to the heat wave and the high temperature of the waters of the Rhône river.
