PORTRAIT DANIELE GELLI

Danièle first practiced Buddhism before hearing the call of Christ and joining a prayer group.
However, the bold woman took the recommendation at face value. She talked to the priest for an hour and, "impressed by his loving gaze", agreed to join the Abba group the following Wednesday. When she arrived, the Blessed Sacrament was exposed. "I ask a neighbour what it is. Then a sort of three-beat waltz begins: a choir sings, a young person prays aloud, and finally there is silence... And so it begins again. At the end of the two hours, I felt the presence of Christ. I had the impression that he was talking to me, that we were looking at each other.
