PORTRAIT DE LEUR CONFINEMENT/Liliane
» me dit-elle.
PORTRAIT OF THEIR CONFINEMENT/Liliane
Liliane called me from her landline phone and asked me to come to her house.
When I entered the apartment, I was greeted by a skin hanging on the wall facing the door, which she had brought back from Lapland. The second discovery is a large framed picture of her husband (deceased) and herself on a glacier.
Liliane had told me: she loves adventure and travelling.
Everything is consistent, once again, with the image I had of her.
She explains to me that she is not interested in decoration, that she wants it to be practical and efficient: on the table, a carafe of water with a hint of mint syrup and a glass of water ready to drink, a piece of paper taped to the plant, with "gym" written on it, so that she doesn't forget to do her gym. An alarm clock with big numbers" is the one I was constantly looking at to make sure I wouldn't miss you at 11 o'clock! "she tells me. And shoes positioned in three places in the apartment, ready to be put on according to the use.
Liliane is synonymous with so many emotions for me. We remember together the first time we saw each other, her on her balcony, me downstairs ... Disappointed by her sentence "I've been crying for two days now" ... And then the sequence of days and the solidarity between everyone to accompany Liliane towards good humour.
We promised to meet again, over tea, when the virus will be less present.
