PORTRAIT DE LEUR CONFINEMENT/Madeleine
Madeleine:
« ça me fait penser à mon chéri » me dit-elle.
PORTRAIT OF THEIR CONFINEMENT/Madeleine
Madeleine:
Madeleine was up there every day, clinging to the sky, and today I'm joining her.
I can't wait to discover her inside, to this endearing nurse.
As soon as I enter, I discover a big black cat! "You have a cat?! "Yes, it's my sister's. He's been living with me for two years, since his little girl was allergic."
"She put a chair across the balcony door because she's afraid he'll come out and fall down. And it turns out that's enough to keep him from moving forward!
In her house, the furniture is there to be useful. Traces of Italy are everywhere. "It reminds me of my darling," she says to me. A few photos here and there...
And her balcony... I have so many photos taken from downstairs, of Madeleine, leaning against her balcony railing, looking at the distance, the blue sky above...
It's moving to be here, today, next to her. The view is magnificent from the kitchen: the greenery of the park in the foreground and ... the Eiffel Tower, the Sacré-Coeur, La Défense...
I thank Madeleine for opening her door to me and leaving her there, on her balcony, clinging to the sky.
