VISMAVILLE IN CONTAINMENT // AT THE BALCON // Episode 47
The bitter cold of the day didn't ruin our date. We were there.
And for the first time, I had a conversation with Anu... By waving at him every time I see him, his face today tells me that I can start a conversation with him. Anu's an Indian from Clermont Ferrand. He came to Paris for an internship just before the lockdown. He is studying for a Master's degree in mechanical engineering. He had found a job as a cashier in a supermarket to live and help his uncle, with whom he lives in this building.
But the internship ended with the lockdown and he waits until May 11th to go home.
Catherine and Lilian are up there on their balcony. Liliane is like many of us: her morale is inseparable from the weather. So the shape is small today. "As you get older, the weather is the only thing that guides your day's activities..."
Micheline has a pain in her eye and she's worried. "Another new boo-boo, the surprise of the day."
With this weather a little more capricious than 46 days ago, the balconies seem to be left to their own devices: loose, empty. A space that has become a storeroom, waiting to become a relaxing space again.
