Jean-Francois Lhermite, maire de Saint-Germier dans les Deux-Sèvres, nous a laissé l'accompagner pour découvrir les différentes activités qui lui incombent en tant que maire d'une commune de 260 habitants. Sans étiquette, il aime rappeler l'importance qu'a pour lui la concertation et la participation à des projets communs. Ainsi, la Mairie propose des projets liés à la vie de la communauté tels que la réhabilitation du four à pain pour la fête annuelle du pain, l'aménagement du parc de l'Etang ouvert à tous, et la construction d'une halle au coeur du village pour accueillir différentes fêtes.
