CENTRE DE RECEPTION TEMPORAIRE LIPA
Le Centre d accueil temporaire pour hommes celibataires de Lipa a ete incendie le 23 decembre. Il a ete construit en avril 2020 en reponse a la fermeture des frontieres lorsque la pandemie de coronavirus a eclate et il etait cense accueillir 1000 personnes. Depuis l ouverture, il etait surpeuple et avant l incendie, le camp contenait environ 1500 hommes celibataires et la meme quantite dormait autour, dans la zone boisee voisine. Situe dans un champ degage d un village desole a environ 30km de la premiere ville, c etait un groupe de grands dortoirs tendus, loin meme de la rue. Le gouvernement n a jamais fourni l eau du robinet, l electricite et les equipements hygieniques, et pour ces raisons, l OIM refuse de continuer a faire fonctionner le centre apres la fin du mandat. Maintenant, il est gere par le Service des affaires etrangeres qui lentement construit des militaires tend a abriter 800 personnes qui ont decide de rester. La Croix-Rouge et les ONG leur fournissent de la nourriture une fois par jour et sans produits alimentaires. La plupart des hommes celibataires ne veulent pas rester a Lipa en raison de son eloignement et ont demenage dans la ville voisine de Bihac.

LIPA TEMPORARY RECEPTION CENTRE
The Temporary Reception Centre for single men of Lipa has been set on fire on December 23rd. It was build on April 2020 in response to border closures when the Coronavirus pandemic broke out and it supposed to accomodate 1000 people. Since the opening it was overcrowded and before the fire, the camp was containing about 1500 single men and the same amount was sleeping around it, in the neighbouring woods area. Located in an open field of a desolate village about 30km from the first city, it was a group of large dormitory tends, far away even from the street. The Government never provided with tap water, electricity and hygienic amenities, and for these reasons IOM refuse to keep on running the centre after the end of the mandate. Now is run by the Service of Foreign Affairs who slowly built military tends to get shelter to 800 people who decided to stay. Red Cross and NGOs provide them with food once a day and with no food items. Most single men don t want to stay in Lipa due to its remoteness and moved to the near city of Bihac.
