VISIONS AFRICAINES
Le projet «Visions Africaines» s'est déroulé sur deux années (2012-2013) dans trois villages de brousse situés dans la province du Yatenga au nord-ouest du Burkina Faso à quelques kilomètres de la frontière malienne. Les portraits réalisés ont bien entendu tous été librement consentis par les villageois de Ouahigouya, Réko, Sonh et Rigui.
A travers leurs regards, leurs expressions, leurs habillements, certains gestes ou quelques signes discrets que nous avons pu échanger au moment des prises de vues, j'ai cherché à montrer dans le plus grand respect, les traits marquants de leurs personnalités et l'impact visuel de l'évolution de leurs conditions de vie en brousse.
Je me souviendrais longtemps de tous ces longs moments de rencontres qui chaque fois ont précédés l'aménagement du studio de fortune. Ils ont tous été d'une simplicité et d'une intensité extraordinaire dans l'échange et le partage. Je suis sûr que mon travail en sera définitivement imprégné !

African Visions
The "African Visions" project took place over two years (2012-2013) in three bush villages located in the province of Yatenga in northwestern Burkina Faso, a few kilometres from the Malian border. The portraits were of course all freely agreed by the villagers of Ouahigouya, Réko, Sonh and Rigui.
Through their looks, their expressions, their clothing, some gestures or some discreet signs that we were able to exchange during the shooting, I tried to show with the greatest respect, the striking features of their personalities and the visual impact of the evolution of their living conditions in the bush.
I would remember for a long time all those long moments of encounters that each time preceded the setting up of the makeshift studio. They were all of a simplicity and extraordinary intensity in the exchange and sharing. I am sure that my work will definitely be imbued with it!
