Départ à 5 heure du matin du port de pêche. Il fait encore nuit à ce moment et la pêche peut commencer une fois le soleil levé. Il est interdit de pêcher la sardine de nuit. La pêche à la sardine s'effectue en couple de bateau, Papi Paul et Le Joker feront le travaille à deux durant cette journée. Le filet est tiré par Papi Paul et Le Joker et chaque remontée de filet est partagé en deux pour dispatcher la sardine sur les deux bateaux. Retour vers 19 heure à La Turballe pour ensuite décharger la sardine. Il arrive que des personnes puissent acheter le poisson en direct à un prix imbattable en sortie de cales.
