FINALE DES CHAMPIONNATS DU MONDE DE KILOMETRE VERTICAL
Ce dimanche 29 Septembre 2019, le petit village de Cholonge accueillait pour la 10ème année l'épreuve de la verticale du Grand Serre. Un kilomètre vertical qui est estimé comme un des plus rapides avec seulement 1811m de distance pour 1000m de dénivelé positif. Ce qui en fait un parcours idéal pour les tentatives de record du monde. L'athlète Axelle Mollaret s'est emparé une nouvelle fois du record mondial avec un chrono de 34min01sec, améliorant donc son propre record de 35 secondes. Chez les hommes, c'est son mari Xavier Gachet qui remporte l'épreuve pour la 4ème année consécutive en 32min15sec.

This Sunday, September 29, 2019, the small village of Cholonge hosted for the 10th year the vertical kilometer of the Grand Serre. A vertical kilometer which is estimated to be one of the fastest with only 1811m of distance per 1000m of positive altitude difference. This makes it an ideal course for world record attempts. Athlete Axelle Mollaret once again set the world record with a time of 34min01sec, improving his own record by 35 seconds. In the men's race, it was her husband Xavier Gachet who won the event for the 4th consecutive year in 32min15sec.
