Des manifestants se sont rassemblés à Tunis, pour demander la libération du député tunisien indépendant Yassine Ayari, qui a été arrêté et condamné à deux mois de prison par le tribunal militaire pour un verdict rendu en 2018 à son encontre par la Cour d'appel militaire pour "participation à un acte visant à détruire le moral de l'armée" après qu'il ait publié des posts sur Facebook critiquant l'armée. Les manifestants ont également protesté contre Kais Saied, le président de la Tunisie, et l'ont accusé d'avoir organisé un coup d'État après avoir limogé le Premier ministre et suspendu le Parlement.
