Karate Against Coronavirus Lockdown
The general confinement and the curfew, which were decreed by the President of Tunisia, Kais Saied, in bid to slow the spread of the novel coronavirus outbreak, which causes the Covid-19 disease, have disrupted the rhythm of Tunisians' daily life.
Living under the lockdown, trapped at home most of the day, deprived of usual activities, has created more free time that could cause boredom, frustration and vacuity for some people.
In order to chase away the emptiness and keep fit, a father has found the solution: playing sports.
Thus, every day and after having breakfast with his family, he jogs and practices Karate with his two teenage sons in the backyard of their house, located in the governorate of Ariana, northern Tunisia.
Sometimes they dare to brave the curfew at night, to train outside on the street.
Martial arts such as Karate, which is the sport the father practiced when he was single, has also became a way to be closer to his children and create complicity with them, which probably did not exist before the introduction of general confinement. Tunisia, on April 06, 2020.
