A QUIMPER, LES BRETONS MANIFESTENT POUR LEUR LANGUE
Plus de 5000 personnes se sont réunies à Quimper ce samedi 13 mars 2021, pour montrer leur attachement aux langues bretonnes. En effet, l'Etat tarde à renouveler la convention avec la région Bretagne autorisant l'enseignement du breton et en breton. Les réseaux d'écoles Diwan et Div Yezh sont particulièrement concernés. Les manifestants, dont de nombreuses familles, ont donc défilé dans les rues de Quimper, affichant et criant des slogans en breton. Plusieurs personnalités politiques locales étaient également présentes, dont le président de région Loïg Chesnais-Girard, le sénateur Ronan Dantec, et les députés Paul Molac et Yannick Kerlogot. Une première manifestation avait eu lieu à Brest deux semaines plus tôt, avec un succès comparable.

More than 5,000 people gathered in Quimper on Saturday 13 March 2021 to show their attachment to Breton languages. Indeed, the State is slow to renew the agreement with the region of Brittany authorising the teaching of Breton and in Breton. The Diwan and Div Yezh school networks are particularly concerned. The demonstrators, including many families, marched through the streets of Quimper, displaying and shouting slogans in Breton. Several local political figures were also present, including Brittany region president Loïg Chesnais-Girard, Senator Ronan Dantec, and MPs Paul Molac and Yannick Kerlogot. A first demonstration had taken place in Brest two weeks earlier, with a similar success.
