C'est un retour à la case départ pour Jérémie Beyou, ce samedi 14 novembre 2020. Alors qu'il faisait figure de favori pour cette édition 2020-2021 du Vendée Globe, le skipper de l'Imoca Charal a subi d'importants dégâts sur son bateau en descendant l'Atlantique. Arrivé au port des Sables d'Olonne en milieu de journée, le skipper a confié le bateau à son équipe, avant de tenir une brève conférence de presse, puis se confiner. Un safran et un renvoi d'écoute sont à réparer pour espérer repartir, puis retrouver les concurrents en mer.

This is a return to square one for Jérémie Beyou, this Saturday, November 14, 2020. While he was the favourite for this 2020-2021 edition of the Vendée Globe, the skipper of the Imoca Charal suffered serious damage to his boat as he was sailing down the Atlantic. Arriving in the port of Les Sables d'Olonne in the middle of the day, the skipper entrusted the boat to his team, before holding a brief press conference and then confined himself. A rudder and a sheet return need to be repaired to hope to set off again, then to meet the competitors at sea.
