While the Ukrainian army is regaining ground by multiplying victorious counter-offensives, it is struggling to contain the Russian assaults in Bakhmut in the Donbass. The Russian troops, composed in part of members of Wagner, are at the gates of the city, which still has 15,000 inhabitants despite the numerous bombings and the situation described by Volodymyr Zelensky as being "the most difficult" in Ukraine.
