PAYS-BAS - Centraal Centrum
Lorsque l'architecte Pierre Cuypers conçut la Gare centrale(Centraal) d'Amsterdam, il ne pouvait imaginer à quel point la ville s'agrandirait et rendrait cet édifice incontournable comme artère de communication de la ville. Gigantesque carrefour de voies de transport en plus du quartier « Centrum », la gare ne comporte plus ni avant ni arrière, en dépit des développements rapides aux abords de la gare. Des puits de lumière dessinent des ombres éphémères et ne cessent de balayer son architecture moderne.

When the architect Pierre Cuypers designed the Central Station (Centraal) in Amsterdam, he could not imagine how the city would grow and make this essential building as the city's communication artery. A gigantic crossroads of transport routes in addition to the ?Centrum? district, the station no longer has either front or rear, despite rapid developments around the station. Skylights draw ephemeral shadows and continue to sweep its modern architecture.
