Fabienne, 54 years old, is a Yoga teacher. In another life, only 5 years ago, she was a shopkeeper in her own food-truck in front of a high school. Following a thyroid problem that prevented her from working, yoga and meditation taught her how to regulate her emotions and health problems. She is now a yoga teacher: for about 3 years now, the former food-truck warehouse has been converted into a yoga room to accommodate her growing number of practitioners.
In the Covid era, as a sports teacher, Fabienne had to adapt: outdoor classes, partnerships with schools or associations and now online courses. The crisis has weakened her growing business, but she is adapting, as she has always done. As a single woman, with a son, she manages by herself, driven by the desire to pass on her knowledge and participate in the well-being of her practitioners.
In a context where stress is increasing and the mental health of the French is weakening, the demand for yoga has not diminished. Many people want an alternative to Western medicine and are looking for the root of a problem rather than a temporary medecine for suffering. Fabienne is sometimes surprised to have a doctor-patient relationship with her practitioners. She is sometimes asked for advice when faced with physical pain or mental concerns. Her practitioners regularly tell her about the well-being she has brought them. The culmination of a passion which today allows her to blossom.
