On s'accroche.

A night with Emergency Police
As Marseille dies and sinks into darkness, it is another city that comes alive. Another people, in other streets. At Noailles Central Police Station, Emergency Police patrols climb into their cars. There are three of them, always three. A driver, a captain and an escort. Tonight, an escort. Throughout the night, they will be on their way from one intervention to another in the heart of the city. An attack at La Plaine, a fight at Cours Julien or a violent customer in a hotel, they provide assistance, security and reassurance.
The ritual is well known, but always impressive: the radio crackles, cold and concise. A child threatens his mother with a knife. The beacon is already on and sprays the street with its blue lights. The siren screams, the engine hums as the car rushes into the tram tracks. We're hanging in there. We're chasing after the seconds.
Already, at the police station, the phone rings: Police Secours, I listen?
