Resistis- Meilleur Lendemain?
Resistis- Best Next Day?
How many of us will resist the impact of this health crisis?
The containment measures resulted in the absence of orders and the difficulty of accessing the land. Yet photography is the medium that makes it possible to document, raise awareness, move, inform?
While applying strict hygiene measures, we continued to work without knowing the real remunerative impact of our projects.
More than a job and a passion, it is the commitment to continue to photograph a dark period which will remain engraved in our contemporary history. It's also about reinventing yourself to keep track of this aftermath.
Since deconfinement, orders are rare. The print press was virtually no longer delivered due to the bankruptcy of the main newspaper distribution organization. The majority of festivals are canceled even though they allow us to show our work, the residencies are postponed. Let's not talk about calls for authors ignoring copyright and demanding an entry fee from applicants.
The construction of meaning becomes vital. We continue to create, to testify but also we cry out our concern.
Photographing is our DNA. It's our oxygen.
This work started when I was suspended from tomorrow, the same as yesterday, taking into account the strong restrictions compared to which we were confronted.
We operate in a society that consumes images without wanting to pay the price, without thinking that the person who sets off has a social, family life, often with a precarious status. So I used a disposable. Like a good number of brothers and sisters, I have several jobs because photography alone is not enough to make a living.
I am not one of those "Big names" as we like to say, whatever. I decided to work differently. Without the image, I die.
It is to extract these emotions experienced daily to consider another tomorrow. Maybe it will be better?
