THE REQUISITIONS COLLECTIVE OCCUPIES A PARISIAN GYMNASIUM TO SHELTER 350 PEOPLE
It is peacefully that the Requisitions collective occupied Thursday, May 6, 2021, in the middle of the day, the Japy gymnasium, in the 11th arrondissement of Paris, to demand the implementation of accommodation solutions for 350 people including families with children. The people accompanied by the associations stayed on site for several hours. The peaceful and good-natured mood of the operation did not prevent the anxiety of homeless people who feared having to spend another night without accommodation. On the spot, the mothers occupied the children, people rested on benches while others killed time by playing football. Around 4 p.m. the organizers finally announced that accommodation solutions had been found.
