LLorando
LLorando
During a screening session of David Lynch's film "Mulholland Drive", a sequence particularly moved me. This one takes place in a cabaret. An artist sings a song called "LLorando" before collapsing and giving way to a void while her voice continues to vibrate. Through this scene, I discovered a cinematographic image with powerful narrative by the minimalism of the interventions. Only the sound of the distant voice, the mute expression of the characters, the very dense images transcribe with modesty the sharp and painful feelings of the actors. It is this sobriety that gives all its power to the filmic image and thus allows the identification, the appropriation of the emotion to feel at this precise moment.
