Between Omaha Beach and Utah Beach, Point du Hoc is one of the must-see attractions on Normandy's Normandy landing beaches.
Strategic point of the Atlantic Wall, the Point du Hoc site was taken by storm on June 6th, the DDay, by Colonel Rudder's Rangers. This was one of the most difficult battles of the landing: in the end, of the 225 Rangers, only 90 of them were still in a position to continue the libération. Today, the stigma of the battle is still visible. One discovers there what was an artillery battery with its position of direction of shooting, its casemates, its shelters.
