I found a dream that I could speak to
I found a dream that I could speak to
The series of 15 images presents through portholes as many miniature visions as dreamy snatches of a luminous, exotic and introspective landscape belonging to Portugal, an eminently poetic country. First a capture of the lights and colors of the city of Lisbon, its river and the Atlantic Ocean, the result is an acute feeling of existence that embraces us, most often in softness, sometimes in melancholy. It is enough to look out of the symbolic window and appropriate this fragment of eternity. Each piece is unique, signed on the back, handmade. The chosen image has been cut out, cropped, inserted behind this protective window, like a magnifying glass on the miniature, then fixed to Canson paper, with a voluntarily neutral meditation space around the circle of the image, all on a one centimeter thick cardboard support. The circular pattern is also a tribute to the Portuguese writer-poet Fernando Pessoa who wore rimmed glasses. They can work alone or in twos, threes, and so on, as many subjective combinations as possible.
