GUATEMALA - LES GARIFUNAS
Les Garifunas, caribéens noirs, débarquent en 1802 sur la cote guatémaltèque à l'embouchure du Rio Dulce. Ils fondent alors le village de La Buga qui deviendra par la suite Livingston.
Aujourd'hui encore, aucune route ne mène à Livingston. Seul le bateau peut nous y mener pour essayer de mieux connaître l'odyssée de ce peuple de nègre marron.
Guatemala, the Garifunas
The Garifunas, black Caribbean, landed in 1802 on the Guatemalan coast at the mouth of the Rio Dulce. Where they founded the village of La Buga, which later became Livingston.
Even today, there are no roads leading to Livingston. Only the boat can lead us there to try to better understand the odyssey of this cimarron people.
